Elsa Cárdenas was a Mexican-American actress born on January 3, 1935, in Tijuana, Mexico. She began her acting career in Mexico, starring in her first film at the age of 15. In 1956, she moved to Hollywood and continued to act in both Mexican and American films.
Cárdenas is best known for her roles in the films "La Venganza del Diablo" (1955), "The Wild Bunch" (1969), and "The Children of Sanchez" (1978). She also appeared in numerous television shows, including "Bonanza," "Gunsmoke," and "The High Chaparral."
Throughout her career, Cárdenas received several awards and nominations for her performances, including a nomination for Best Supporting Actress for "The Children of Sanchez" at the 51st Academy Awards.
Cárdenas was married twice and had two children. She passed away on April 8, 2018, at the age of 83, due to a stroke.
